Norinco 5.56x45mm CQ-A Carbine

The M16 has been the standard military rifle of the Philippine Army. This is mainly because of the influence of the US Government and the many units donated by them. Although the M16 has served its purpose very well in open field warfare, it does not perform very well in Urban Scenarios. That is where the short barreled brother of the M16 comes in handy--the M4.

The M4 is a 14.5 inch carbine. Many are familiar with this gun as they have seen in movies and even much more so for the younger ones whose lives revolve much on counterstrike, black hawk down and other combat role-playing games.

Very well known brands of the M4 are the Colt, Armalite and Bushmaster but a chinese clone has now entered the Philippine market. This is the Norinco 5.56 CQ-A.

The gun is a good copy of the Colt M4A2. It has a 14.5 inch chrome lined barrel with a 1:9 twist. The step cut heavy barrel of this carbine helps improve accuracy by adding to its stiffness. The gun also has a flat top rail, which is excellent if your adding an optic onto it. It comes with a detachable carry handle with an adjustable rear sight aperture for both windage and elevation.
